meristem is the debut EP by Dantes, released February 25, 2021 through Same Plate Entertainment/Sony Music Entertainment, after he signed with Sony Music Entertainment in June 2018.
About
Seven tracks in about 19 minutes. It opens with the !llmind-produced lead single “GREENHOUSE” and the ROMderful-produced “apnea,” then gathers the singles he released between 2017 and 2018: “Rust (Oxide),” “treasure this life!,” “who do you think you are?,” “Begging” and “Cheat.” On those five he co-produced and mixed his own records and played the woodwinds himself: alto saxophone, tenor saxophone and clarinet.
Additional production came from ROMderful and Engelwood. “Begging” is his most-streamed song on Spotify, with more than 2.5 million plays as of October 2026.
